Hi guys, Im having the same problem as markieboi water in footwell under carpet (I've already ripped the foamy full of water sound proofie stuff out and dried it out) to find the carpet soaking wet after the heavy rain last night.

Any areas to look out for in particular? haven't had a good look yet just lifted up the carpet and had a feel around for holes,

my disco also has no sun roofs so being a disco it finds other ways to leak in.

Thanks for any pointers on this, much appreciated!

Remove the foot well kick panel and u may find a few drips of water seeping through the inner wing - 'A' post seam, electrical grommet's or bolt holes that are there.

is around the top of your windscreen rusty mine leaked in there.

Mine has a bit of bother with damp at the mo' ...

Seriously though ... mastic sealed the top edge of the windscreen rubber seal sorted it.

Roof bar mounts? Regular leakage point, assuming you have roof bars fitted.

Thanks everyone, im in the process of ripping all the carpets out at the moment to get the many rust holes welded up and painted/rust proofed all through! so will be able to get a good look this evening. i think its coming in from the right hand side near the pedals as it feels wet there.

im sure this is gonna be the first of many leaks!

I ended up stripping all my dash out to sort my leaks as it was filling up the glovebox and its still not 100% lol. IIRC I had

Hole in footwell by A pillar
Hole in footwell where inner arch meets the bulkhead (behind washer bottle)
Bottom of screen
Top of screen

Found part of the problem, rust hole inside by the pedals through to the wing.. Should of guessed, gonna get it patched up along with the 100 others, gonna check all the other places you guys have suggested too so thanks to every one for the help

I had something similar on my old RRC, I patched it up with fiberglass then I sold it.
