But they're never perfect which is how main dealers spot them. Ours MD is picky what they take in. Difference in paint finish and wear. Panel fit. Coatings underneath different. Unusual bolt head marks. Marks in accumulated road muck. You will have seen it all and more. And know few garages will repair as good as new.

Your experiences and mine would seem poles apart
 
I would be interested to know how a ........Landrover dealer would know its a "cat S" .......IF it was repaired properly ,
Some times its recorded on the v5 (not always) all cat vehicles will come up on an HPI check.

We used to use the gauge to test paint thickness, its been a long time since we have done accident damage stuff
used to go for stolen recovered motors & used to get some bargains. Ah the good auld days. :cool::cool:
