I suppose that could be a possibility, assuming the regulator failed in such a way that all the fuel went to the return, blocking the return would give full pump pressure at the injectors:eek:
ow my my my my my.ain't range rovers fun to own?:doh:.what is next is yet to come.

cheers sandyt, all what i did is that i removed the ring squeezing the fuel return line,it didn't act up again on me yet, maybe it isn't the right temperature to do it,or maybe it is cured,i will report back,in case i get sure 100% that it is cured i wouldn't say that i resolved the issue, tuesday i will take it to an electrician to check my starter motor's wiring and the unit itself.

Ok I have the same problem mine is also converted to lpg and the problem does not exist with lpg only petrol ie it will stop and start on lpg no probs but same as yours on petrol so maybe it is the fuel supply I will try your fix and let you know how I get on

Also meant to say I have a new starter motor on mine and new leads from alt to starter to battery

well it didn't act up on me yet,but i wouldn't say that the prob is resolved...maybe the temp is not getting at the right duff moment for the warm start pro to appear...but be sure that when it is fixed i will update this thread.

sorry double posts, connection error.i hate when intermittant pro occur.i am doubting the fuel pump now,and the MAF.if u have replaced the wires and starter so guess it isn't the pro.well MAF and pump on mine are 15 years old,and the pump is whining so.....

Right well I replaced the fuse box in the engine compartment I also moved the clip on the return fuel pipe along a bit and so far it is behaving like you not sure if it has cured it completely but will keep in touch and let you know how we go - interestingly when I opened up my burned fuse box it was the main power in stud that had arced and burnt so it could have been an electrical problem to the fuel relay not sure hope yours is still running ok

well still so far so good.but i still don't trust it,like smtg deep inside my head is saying to me it is not fixed.to be extra sure i have replaced the fuel pump relay.u keep me updated also.in any new thing u do.
