Hi all new to the forums, own a 04 freelander commercial although it's pre facelift so think she sat about for a bit at the dealer, if anyone has the roof rails with the crossmember please pm me as I've been searching everywhere for them! Also occasionally at 50mph upwards I'm getting a whine only when I'm giving it power reckon I'm gonna try the propshaft bearings but if any of you have any ideas it'd be appreciated! Cheers will.

Also tho depending on what weight you thinking of putting on the rack it might be worth asking someone like sess88 what would be involved making some sturdier ones from tube or Box, as they don't like much weight x3 9ft Co create fence posts and their about where they want to be..

Tbh I'd be I t wrested in a full square box section incorporated roof rack that replaces the, as the exp and safari racks seem high with these on to me..

That's cheap for a 3dr rack!

I know what you mean with weight wouldn't put anymore than 150kg on there

I might look into having one made tbh, as doing what I do I think it would be a better option and I could then run it closer to the hippo also so its not as high, I'm surprised no ones done it tbh

At the moment it would be 3 clearing saws and a jerrycan.. Probably about 40-50 kilo in total reckon in the long run its just worth hanging them out the back door with the window down?

3dr rails are only rated to 70kg either static or dynamic. very few cars have a roof rated at carrying more than 75kg
