Here is a copy of a typical Waiver Liability Form which, it is suggested, you carry with you when on a callout.. Although no guarantee can be given, this may help you explain to someone that you are recovering, that there are risks involved, and that you are doing this as a friendly gesture and they accept that if any damage occurs during recovery, you cannot be held responsible.

Ta muchly, once they know risks are there and that it will be required of them to sign to take responsibility they either think more carefully about the rescue they are asking for or call in the professional bods who will burn their credit cards at the stake lol
