Tip for waffle board use.....
Have a length of strong rope & shackle attached to board & the rear of your motor. As you drive out of mud/sand the used boards follow you.
Saves digging it out or loosing it

Or buy some cheap plastic shelving versions. You can store them away and reuse as shelves later. I'll get my hat
