I would think if you stayed within the LR recommended wading depth of 0.5metre you would be OK, but above that additional precautions such as a plastic over the rad grill and remove your CD-autochanger if fitted.
We assume you have done your best to seal the electrics and ignition system under the bonnet
As yet, I haven't done anything as I haven't had call to hit any water. Just wondering if it's worth starting to do it or just avoid water as noticed most of the wiring under the bonnet has gaps between it's protective sheathing and the connecter at pretty much every point!
No auto changer...apparently I have a relatively unusual v8 Disco...
Searching under the wrong thing...I tried wading...not swim...
ok, so snorkle, axle, tank, dif, gearbox breaths, good door seals! also when it comes to the distributer i will be running an air line from a small compressor to a new hole in the cap to keep the moisture out of it. think thats coverd most??
mak sure you dont pressurize the dizzy too much or you will blow your sealing, i have fitted a feed from my compressor and then another line to breathe it.
