I don't believe that, if you want to suck oil up a couple of meters of hose you would have to be letting some air in the other end or you would just create a vacuum and the oil is not even as high as the point of the breather, and the air will go the easiest like in the top of the snorkel
As long as all the seals in the axle are good the easiest way to get air back in the axle is though the breather even if it is in the snorkel.
Not that i plan to do it if you need them that high your going to have wet feet

Thats the whole point isnt it
I will ask this again.... Whats wrong with hooking them up on the bulkhead at the rear of the engine compartment. Saves a lot of messing around.... Mine are there as fitted by the military and I have never had the water level that high despite submerging so that my arse was wet on the seats.....

My engine and box breathers were terminated in the bulkhead. This was
Factory fit. If you fit a snorkal you are intending or at least think you will go above the recommended wading depth. So why ot just do it properly and run them up the side of the snorkal and loop them round. Black cable ties don't look out of place.

I just thought it looks like a neater job that having them running up the snorkel and cable tying on. Also I have bean through water that was up to the up to the top of my bonnet deep. And the bow wave went had way up the window. So the breathers would have been submerged if left at the bulk head. Even then only a small amount of water came in through the doors. So no one has any ideas on the name or were abouts I can get some from???
No they wouldn't. Bow wave is higher than internal level.
Use fishpond connectors. It's the same as airline.
