Hi, my friend has an Disco with registration number G339 WAC. Unfortunately it needs some work, but the number rings a bell- is this an ex-factory vehicle? I'd be grateful for any ideas, regards T.

They are demo vehicles that were registered in solihull to LR. they were given to LR dealerships to demonstrate the new vehicle for shows etc. They were quite a lot of them, all registered G*** WAC. WAC were the reg letters for solihull.

correct ormus, in the olden days all areas had their own letters for registration plates. ac on the end meant warwickshire, ab meant birmingham, and rf was stafford and cc was north wales .not like nowadays where saddo's have their initials ;)

my mate said cherished plates were too expensive, so he changed his name by deed poll. much cheaper.
hes now called xanadu zeb williams.

Hi ormus i was thinking the same as you change my name by de poll,:D as for yella disco he is only jealous cos he can,t afford his initial's on his car.:D :D (i only say that cos i have my initial's on mine, cos there's that many new black d3 about i know which is mine)

Hi I can give you more detail on G339WAC it was originally a Land Rover Directors car, Neil Johnson who was one of the directors at the time. It was then sold to my boss in 1990 and was then sold in 1993. It had all the extras on it. Loved that discovery
