Hi,

My mate has just changes the pads (down to metal) on his classic with the abs wabco system.When he started it up the pump is running all the time and the pedal is rock solid with no assistance. Has anyone of you R.R. experts any idea where to start looking. Apart from the pads requiring changing the brakes were spot on before the problem, regards John

The pedal should have a good firm feel to them, the pump will come on for ~30 secs when started up, but what do you mean by 'no assistance'?

Hi,the pump is running all the time and the brakes are non existence,regards john

sounds like he might be running on the single system as the classic has the dual circuit brakes.Ie the brakes are only operating in the safety mode-you might not even be using the rear brakes!!!Possible caused by the primary and secondary ciruits coming in to contact(upper and lower front pistons)
