Hello lads

My 1998 XEDI has suffered a annoying vibration whilst driving. If I thrash it through the gears you cannot tell but a going up through the gears early is a no no! Been under the old girl today because I was informed it is probably the exhaust bracket at the manifold end. It wasnt
Checked along the prop and the vicous is in a sorry state (And im no expert :) )

The picture is to show what side im talking about.........

Hoi Madhat I'm no wearing that. Yer first answer was impolite to my 'twaddle' free simple question about wheels. You caused the start of the playground name calling spat.

Ps. wtf a vortex review

Hoi Redhand no more of that kind of talk, you bugger off, this is between Mad Hat and me. He's well able to look after himself.

Daft dunt play wiv the saddo's he's instructed me to tell yer he ain't interested in your pointless drivel so fook off.

Yes but unlike you I only need telling once. Whereas your like a computer. The instructions have to be punched in.

Hoi Redhand You punched that reply in well, Thats the nearest to English youve got in a while. Your not going to turn all posh on me now are you. Now bugger off and start a wee thread of your own for a change, instead of jumpin on the band wagon all the time.

The bit circled in yellow isn't the VCU, its a torsional damper and nothing to do with the coupling. (only the 1.8 petrol models have them). These can be replaced seperately from the VCU. Some people have just removed the metal ring or cable tied them on when they have come loose. Just because the damper is knackered it doesn't mean the VCU is.

A coupleof pages from RAVE that might explain previous reply
