I am glad it came off so easy. "One tap" just the one? I suggest it has been removed before then, and threadlocker not reapplied as in the original fitment.

It's your Motor you treat it as you wish, I woul rather do it with a strap wrench in the knowledge that unnecessary force has not been applied to the waterpump components.:doh:

you are not putting any undue force on the fan nut,just a tap with the hammer,it is going in a horizontal motion so it will not cause any damage to anything.it is going in the direction of rotation.

Belligerent!! who's being belligerent here, if anyone it is you, I deal with things passivly, you appear to take a heavy handed approach to everything.

no one takes a heavy handed approach over the way it is recognised as the way to undoe a viscous fan nut,thats the way we all do it,in the main.
