totally agree, use to use 2 different length chisels for the job till one day over 30 years ago got one that didnt want to shift hence the first spanner its had to be ground up a bit over the years from hitting with the hammer but on the td6 with the egr cooler in place its difficult to get to hence second spanner.I've always said "When in doubt, give it a clout"

Rain,man up you wimp.After 3 shops I found the illusive fan spanner. So ready with lump hammer and spanners to get the off at last. However, it's raining so no chance today
