anyone tried this as an alternative to painting?

guessing a series shouldn't be too hard as they are mostly square

Vinyl wraps are popular on the railways as it is cheaper than repainting. However I understand they are now discovering it also causes considerable corrosion underneath the vinyl.

They only need three colours Blue Grey Yellow

Those are fine

I've been able to closely inspect a few vehicles that were vinyl wrapped. I don't like it. Great for advertising or crazy design for a laugh etc but I really didn't like it close up as a paint replacement.

Same as that plastidip stuff. I've seen it after some longer term abuse and its been a dog's dinner.
