Hi all,

Regardless of whether it's legal or not or where you think I should put it, can anybody recommend somewhere that does a decent vinyl numberplate sticker I can wang on my passenger vent.

I've popped the number plate in various places over a few weeks and don't like any of them (on front of roof rack, on fair lead rollers, on grill and to side bumper).

Cheers

£7.95 on fleabay.
But cannot recommend as have never used them.

cheers
Hmmm, first place I looked to be honest. But, I couldn't find anything specific. What search terms are you using? Or do you have a link?

There is a bloke near me who does them for a 5er. I've brought two already but never actually stuck them on lol

Ahhh ok, I thought i'd seen somebody selling them specifically for the vent (as in, cut to size etc).

Cheers

I just took my plate and double side sticky tape to the flap. Been on there 3 years still stuck on well!

A mate made mine ... Not strictly legal(Actually not at all) 'cos the numbers are about 3/4 size and the plate is also cut down to fit the flap, but it's been through 2 MOT's like that ...

Check out the DVLA website....but istr the plate is supposed to be reflective and conforming size and letters and placed on the vertical front of the vehicle - not sure the vents on the screen count.... but who's checking?? Cheers, A

It's illegal purely due to the sizes of both the numerals and the plate.

The positioning is fine because it doesn't need to be vertical and at the height it's positioned it is the front of the vehicle, with nothing obscuring it. Same as, for instance, vans that have them (sometimes) on the top of a Luton body rather than at the bumper.
