Can anybody help me with verifying vin no .I have imported my 1984 110 into Ireland and am having trouble getting revenue to verify vin. I have found chassis no at the front where it should be but it's very faint but still readable. The inspector is not happy with the stamp can anybody tell me if this type of stamp is normal or is this a restamp after a repair and is there any other way I can verify.

Fair bit of repair in the area but it does look like someone has kept the original stamp to me.

Inspector tells me if I can prove that is normal for vehicle that age he would accept it he wants me to get pictures of other now similar to mine

Looks like someone has recently stamped that on to me. Should have messed it up a bit more in terms of sharpness. New chassis you dont need one but old chassis, it needs to be there.

looks like its been restamped but what do the other vin plates say
Vin plates are ok but they want chassis no and he dosent like that the now are not all in line. I have found a couple of pics online that are similar to mine it's just a case of getting info of how they were done in 1984 was it hand stamped if so they may all be like that then he would be happy
