It would appear you're right as water going through the motor would be turned mostly (if not completely) to vapour - but I can't get my head around the siphon effect!?

Small quantities of water can and do pass through engines and come out as vapour - such as when the HG leaks... as you know there is room left when at TDC.

this race/rally is a popular one in here in Poland, i plan on trying to get down to see next year as its only a few hours drive away :D:D
