So I have a lot of vibration. Does not matter if idling or moving, clutch release or pressed, cold or hot. It does vibrate more when I am pulling away. And if I am stationary it smoothens up a bit if I increase the revs a little bit.

Till now I have changed the DMF, the injector seals and looms, cleaned up any oil from the ecu, changed oil and filters (fuel/air/oil).

Next on the line I will try to change the engine mounts. Anything else I should look at?

thanks!

Ordinarily i would have said to enjoy it while it lasts but we are in the serious side of the "zone"

Is this a recent phenomena? Was there a definitive moment/point that coincided with any event prior? I ask as i had similar vibration that came from a broken engine mount after a day at a pay & play site.

so for now i cleaned ecu contacts and changed map sensor, but made no difference. Now I got myself a set of (genuine) new engine mounts... hope they are the answer! will update when I can get them done!

The pulley on the front of the crank has a rubber centre which can fail. Is that wobbling?

Im sure mine is on its way out as I have a squeak when starting/stopping the engine, I also had a vibration yesterday
after driving 70 miles drove fine switched off, when I went to drive home after 5 hours I had a bad vibration coming
through the clutch pedal I wondered if it was the flywheel or the pully might be the cause.

The squeak is a common symptom. Look at the damper with the engine running, if it's failing, you'll probably see it wobbling around. I decided I should do mine sooner rather than later and this is what I found...

I had that for a short while. Cured by ditching the new aux belt I'd just put on (think it was a Dayco) and putting the recommended Contitech one on instead, it's got better grippy bits on the outer edge for driving the PAS pump.

I will order a new belt & see if it cures the squeak ;)

new (genuine) mounts in, vibration is gone! MUCH SMOOTHER!!! im happy :D

Also, as it turns out, not too hard to change. Release all 6 bolts, remove bolts from one side and lift engine using a jack, remove and replace one mount, put in bolts, do the same on the other side and then tighten everything up... done!

since you are working very close to the starter and the alternator, i decided to disconnect the battery, just to be on the safe side. Also when planning to change the mounts, check the condition of the heat shield above the mount on the exhaust side - it will be worth changing if it is rusted.
