Did you not think of greasing the joints before you fitted the prop shaft. You may find that at large angles of articulation the long nipples get sheared off. With the prop in the correct position a standard grease gun should do the job.
A standard grease gun will not go on the grease nipples with the joints at any position and the car at any height on mine, I had to grind the sides of the head on my Wanner gun:)

I have a Wanner but use my big flexi hose gun, just a question of turning the props for access. Will compare the Wanner and flexi nozzles but never had problems.

Neither of my grease guns, Wanner or my big flexi tractor gun, will go between the UJ webs in any rotational position or at any height or in any combination thereof. I don't make a habit of butchering tools unless there is no alternative, I don't like to use extended grease nipples either. For such a big heavy car with a 3.5 tonne towing capacity they are poxy little UJ's.

The extended grease nipples are only about 1/4 inch longer and make it easy to grease.
I have a few left if anyone is stuck.
