Hey guys,

I've got a problem with my Defender 110 TD5/ When driving at above 25+ MPH I get a droning/rumble noise which sounds like it from the front. Whilst turning at speed I the rumble increases in sound dramatically. The also car pulls left under braking, their has been slight play in front right Kingpin which i have replaced but I still have the noise.

Does anyone has any advice or ideas which could cause this?

Cheers

Sounds like a nearside wheel bearing to me. I'd chock the back wheels, put the transfer box into neutral and jack up the front end. Remove the front wheels. You will then be able to spin the hubs and listen/feel for any bearing problems. If all seems well, it's always worth looking at the propshaft UJs - even if the symptoms don't directly point to them.

I had checked the bearings for play and couldn't notice anything but I am going to pull the Hubs off tomorrow and check the bearings to be certain.
Might as well re-grease them while im there.

Cheers
