The roof lining is soaking wet....really wet....

It's around the rear electric sunroof...

It might have been left open slightly...but I doubt it...

It is parked on a slight slope (front up hill)

Do they leak around the trim to roof or glass to trim...???

I have read a few threads about vasaline and new seals...!!! are new seals easy to fit...??

Hi I found the seal between the roof to trim to be U.S on mine. Had to remove roof lining to gain access then removed sunroof's cleaned the area where the sunroof sits on the metal then re seated it on bed of mastic of the type used to seal caravan windows as it never drys fully. I did both while the roof lining was out as that was not 5 minite job. Also check the drains there is one each side (small pipe that runs down the pillers) of each sunroof mounting frame.

Hi,

I had a similar problem on a Range Rover Classic. It was still under warrenty at the time and went back to the dealers. Firstly, they blew the drain tubes out with compressed air and returned the vehicle to me.

Next time it rained, same again, returned to the main dealer and the headlining was removed. This exposed two plastic drain tubes from the sunroof, these had split and leaked, both replaced and no further problems.

I hope this helps Alan

I did a 'how to' on the sunroof leak - it covers the front roof but it would be the same procedure for the rear.
