Well a quick check on wikipedia shows a V reg plate is 1979 to 1980 and an A reg plate is 1983 to 1984. Ok but let look at the Nene vehicle, it is as described a Stage One V8 (Land Rover Series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), although they are being less than honest by putting a Defender badge on it. It is still essentially a Series 3, with leaf springs a series 3 dash and steering wheel and a series rear cross member.

However this concoction on eBay is not one of these, it a 110 with the wrong reg number. It is older, but has more defender bits - no way.
