It must be a proto-type version. I like the military spec lights, light switch and wind up windows. I also like the way they haven't bothered painting the floor under the mats or the clutch pedal. I wonder if it comes up as being red on the log book?

lol i had'nt noticed that .....i bet it comes up as a series 3 on the log book

lol i ask a few questions about the said landy(does it have coils have you had the tape mesure out and can you take a pic of the chassis number on the chassis) and this is what he came back with ...

hi
i can understand the confusion ...so for peace of mind i have had the police come out to me, pc kevin lee from rugeley police station has done a full police check and vehicle inspection and everything is above board......it has been told me that it could well be a very rare prototype series 3 from 1980.
i cant do any more than i have
hope this reassures you
kind regards

Unless he was from the stolen vehicle squad it doesn't mean ****.

It's amazing how that early prototype even has parts that weren't invented yet.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

The reg is also incorrect for a proto-type. I'm not that much of a geek that I can give you the reg numbers of the proto-types though.;)

As far as i,m aware there was a batch of around 20ish made around 1977/78 but they where cobbled together factory efforts made on a stretched rangie chassis with the running gear and bits of rangie dash to make the interior up;)

Sounds like a nice guy...
Or someone with something to hide...

So its a series landy 109, except for the fact that its got the bonnet, wings, screen, bulkhead, dash, gearbox, seats, doors, rear lights, tow-bar and cross-member from a 110/Defender. What's dodgy about that  Unbelievable.

Perhaps a phonecall to rugely police station to speak to said porky is in order??

Hi there,
Do you have any photos of the underside?

I'm a little unsure as to the specs of this vehicle - does it have coil or leaf suspension and are the brakes drum or disc?

I'd be quite interested in viewing if it sounds like the right vehicle.

Thanks
Antony

See what comes back from that!

OOh, I think that touched an nerve...

hi...
thought id message you back so you can put this on the landyzone forum aswell!!! you can all speak to the police officer if you wish ....if it will stop this witch hunt bloody ridiculous!!!!!!
i have NOTHING to hide ...im fed up with know it all's messaging me who actually know nothing!!
im glad you have nothing better to do with your time but harrass people!!!!

Didn't want to give you any details of the suspension then!?

Also buyers don't exactly seem to be jumping at the chance to bid on this "rare prototype".

Done a little check on the car info app on the iPhone,

It returns showing Land Rover as make, model isn't available though, colour Green, engine size 2286cc (petrol) and year as 13/08/1991....
