I sometimes find myself wrongly saying, "I hate this country", but it's really a small chunk of the people I hate... I doubt I am alone.
 
Indeed... we did an Orienteering course with one of the chaps from LLANBERIS and it was great and he said they were saving for new land rovers so I can only assume these were really new for them.

I just don't understand its like stealing brake pipes from a lorry, or medicine from an ambulance. Its truly scary what happen on Snowdon and whilst we walked up there in summer, all of a sudden it can turn quite scary.
 
Smart paint on the inside of all panels and cheap equipment available for reading the paint would go a long way to stop all second hand parts trade.
 
What exactly have the stolen/cut out/damaged there?

From my understanding, it was the doors, and then they cut clean through the wiring loom to disable the alarms (unsuccessfully). A real shame, pretty much agree with discomania.

I see the Wasdale MRT out all the time in their Defenders up here, and it isn't just emergency call-outs, the MRT are very much at the heart of the small local community in areas like this. The other day the Wasdale MRT Defender was the first aid vehicle for a small local marathon and kids run. They go far beyond rescuing lost and injured hikers.
