hi all got chance to get side steps off a freelander mk1 from a 5 door will they fit on my freelander mk1 3 door ?

Yeah got them paid £30 
got all brackets etc and bolts but what do I need to buy to fit them to the car as the holes underneath ain't threaded can some one help I've read rivets but not sure on sizes etc I'll need

They should bolt straight on. Been 10 years since I put mine on the Freelander but they went on in an hour. You can buy the bolts from EBay if needed for about £20. Put some on my Jeep the other week and they went on in under an hour with the bolts provided. Usually the holes nearest the prop need a nut sliding in to catch the bolt and the ones nearest the door are threaded. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll find a way to fix them.

BTW, if you go to direct4x4.co.UK select Landrover Freelander 1, then any of the side steps, scroll down past the pictures, you'll see fixing instructions. As the fixings are generic, this should give you an idea how to put them on.
