I think I have a Land Rover series 2, 2A or 3.
The miles per gallon is very low and i mean very low at just over one mpg.
Is there any way i can sort this. The Landy is for off roading only.

are you driving in bottom gear, screaming the engine at full tilt, wheel slipping, and dragging the QE2?

tek ur carb off get a bucket and knock an ole innit then bolt that on yer manifold then fill it up should run to a better mpg.....lol..
any way any idea wot carb is fitted cus even a knackered zenith/solex should give better than 1 mpg,any black smoke from exhaust?smell of petrol?checked plugs?are they black and sooted up?
closest thing i ever came across was a 109 series 3 with a warped zenith carb on it doing about 5 mpg...replaced carb all sorted
