Make sure you drain all the water every night otherwise you may end up with a cracked block if it freezes.

[Smug mode = On] My (soon to be again) Series has 3 blowers and 2 matrix's, the rear matrix is proper toasty [Smug mode = Nah....fook it leave it On]

You have a point their coz i got a stat that (especially if it came in a blue box)
oh ohSadly thats not foolproof as water can and will go via the bypass hose as its an easier route than the rad and the engine can get very very hot, I know as I have done it.
If you look at the 200 and 300 stat they have an extra spring loaded widget that blocks off the bypass as the stat opens.
Obviously if you blocked off the bypass full time you would be sorted.

I only cook my engine when running her hard and I forget to turn the fan on in low box off roading and my rad is gash... I wonder if adding a new stat would stop even this then? I may give it a go but don't trust any stat lol
