at the time i dint know the caravan brakes dint work

When you have a vehicle designed to retard three and a half plus tons as standard. Then the brakes are iffy with your mobile road block attached, would have thought that the caravan brakes being dodgy was pretty obvious. :D:D:D

Don't know how old or how long you've owned the caravan, but the the first thing I do when buying a trailer is to service/overhaul the running gear...or could it be just a lack of caravan servicing for a weekend gipsy.....:behindsofa:

was when i first bought the caravan
on its first run home its was like "#### it takes some stoping" not dangerusly just enough to notice and since i knew the brake pads were due for replace and i had a suspected warped disc i thought id upgrade!!
wasnt until i pulled it out when i got to the site i unhooked it and the van was started to roll off i had to realy yank the hand brake up to stop it and it was then i relised the brakes arnt as good as maybe they should be

I read that with a caravan/trailer you should use wheel chocks on a slope just in case the brakes should fail...first rule of safety...
