My series petrol has always started 2nd or 3rd time and then runs without issue , its a real trooper and im really proud. Today received a vent pipe from wing air intake to heater box from Britpart as current one had more holes in it than a Tory expenses claim , since ive fitted it landy starts first time , dont really understand this as assumed pipe was just for heating purposes. Can anyone explain this?

Also just FYI Britpart part quality is good , however it does need a bit of a stretch as they seem to have been a bit tight with the length of pipe and it just about fits , previous one had loads of excess so that it could be twisted and bent into shape , I have shovels for hands , it wasnt easy getting the wing end fitted!!

I'd be looking at what got disturbed/messed with/handled to get the vent pipe into place. Or, at the vvery outside, the old vent pipe had chafed through a wire or something and was causing an issue - which the new one (being shorter) is not doing.

Coincidence - ish. Yeah, you've disturbed something for the good. Earth, perhaps?

Sounds like an earth issue or similar ...
