Not when it’s your precious D3 or any other with flames, and I don’t mean the hot rod paintwork type.:)

Trust me been there:eek: all because of plastic sheathed earth bit close to headers:(. (Not D3)

Had one of my series 3s go up in smoke , was driving down Orpington high street and smoke starting pouring out the back of the dashboard , managed to cut the battery leads just in time but the loom was ruined

Ended up buying rolls of wire and rebuilding a new loom on my kitchen table

Indeed scares the life out of us when it happens , old loom was a right bodge where there were lives left exposed

Great back on topic, What is your opinion of them?

Hi

Very pleased with them, had no issues getting the D3 on all 4 x of them , got 4 x so can keep vehicle level for oils etc

Tyres are 235/70/17 so no issues with the size of the ramp

Did also put some axle stands underneath as a precaution , because the D3 suspension can and does move

Hope that helps

I don’t have ramps like that but have some metal ones and find it a pita to drive car on they seem to scoot forward. Maybe it was the light RWD car I had at the time, But have not tried with a heavier car to be honest. I have used axle stands and find this just as good, as gives more flexibility in possible work.
But I have a pit now so they have become somewhat of an ornament.

Sorry for going off topic but we have to chit chat about something while the OPs away:p:D.

I started this thread stating that I have an RRC. It is a 1994 " VOGUE SE 300Tdi AUTO on AIR". It is not the downstair's maid's shopping trolley ie.(freelander/evoque, etc.). Such cheek! For the " RANGE ROVER " members I have ordered the KATSU ramp's , mainly because they are lightweight. Thank's all regarding timber ramp's.
Yer going ter need ter do a lot better than that. I've had the p*ss taken by professionals before. Eggspecially with an old chug along tratter engine. If it helps with yer self imposed feeling if grandeur then it's ok with me. Eye won't hold it against yer. I'd still pull yer out if yer stuck oft road. ;)

When a fellow land rover owner needs help then eye will help tow thems out. Even if they've poked fun at ma hippo. Same rules apply. They have ter agree it's not my fault if eye rip their towing eye/rear cross member oft.
