They say to keep them healthy they need to be worked occasionally.
Occasionally? Mine is in use daily.
I live a few miles up a 'green lane' more often a mud lane what with the weather in NE Scotland that means rain 2 days out of 3.
I have to 'perform' a 3 point turn on loose gravel / mud twice a day. Sometimes I reverse full left lock, sometimes right.
Like DD3 I've thought whether off-road or Motorway puts more stress on the VCU, as at least half my annual mileage is high speed dead staright stuff. But I can conclude nothing.
However I have to say I'm obsessive about equalizing tread wear. I never have more than 0.5mm difference between front and rear.
