Hi all,

I have all of the below for sale. They were bought in dribs and drabs until I found what I liked the look of (on the 90) and one of the work trucks. So the below are all unused, literally only taken them out of the box to offer up and get an idea of look - so brand spanking new.

I’ve added amazon links so you can see prices etc. (annoyingly some now in the sale).

Prices individually given excluding delivery (about £4 for light stuff and £6 for heavier or multiples with myhermes) or happy for you to arrange collection from SG4 postcode.

If no go here or the other forum, i’ll chuck them on the bay (or probably end up keeping them in the shed with all the other crap I amass…). I’ve just fitted a couple and happy with the light throw out and the build quality. Only slight criticism I have is the cable/tail on them isn't the longest in the world.

Can normally post out same day as payment received.

Hi all, only just seen these posts - apologies. I've updated with what has already gone.

I'm happy to split the pairs if wanted (assuming there is a buyer for both). Postage not included unfortunately, but for what is left (part form the 20"), postage would only be an additional £4.

I'm also happy to go offer them up against my car so you can get a sense of what they look like. This is essentially why I have so many - didn't want to get one that didn't look right! The square 4.5" 27w are really nice and slimline, they fit nice against the body. The 48w are almost double the thickness but chuck out oodles of light!

The 13" bar are really quite 'cute' if I can use that word. I'm thinking about having one of those above my rear door, it's thin and reasonably inconspicuous and throws a wide pattern.

Good afternoon Mr Huffhuff, do you have any images of your Defender with the spots turned off so that I can get an idea of precisely where you have mounted your bar?

I am about to sort out my revised front and and think that I might place and mount my own 18" light bar over the front grill and just under the front lip of the closed bonnet. I also have two 8" spots which I would like to place on the front bumper immediately under the front headlights.

There are a number of things that concern me. The first is the least important but, I am keen to maintain the symmetry of lights, ensure that the lights are mounted in a legal fashion ( I remember that the height of the lights need to comply with current legislation ), how does the light project when you are on less that even road surfaces?

When I use to have Cibie lamps, I fitted a stainless steel adjustable bar to the top of each lamp to make sure that they stayed in their set position. Have you done anything similar to keep the light output where you want it?

And, finally, I want to be a sure as I can, that the output from the fitted lights provide the cover that I hope for. The 18" bar has a mix of spots in the centre and spread on the two extreams. The two 8" lamps are spread, so as to flood the sides of the road.

Any help you might give will be most welcome

Hi @Alan Crossley ,

I actually have my lightbar mounted inside my front grill, see below for some old pics;

For the rear I currently have a single LED work light in the middle (where the washer jet is), but will soon be swapping this out for the above 13" slimline bar. I'm going to fit the 2 48w work lights on my roof rack but pointing sideways (so I can illuminate all sides of the car when I want, front, back, drivers and passenger)

Thank you for those pictures Mr Huffhuff. The car looks really good in black and I have to admit to having second thoughts about your wheels. I had a set myself but changed them for the boost alloys, seeing your now I'm not convinced.

I fitted two "work lights" over the rear door which have been disappointing, so I think your suggestion might be an improvement. The lights I fitted where not cheap but the output is poor.

The front lamp looks good, but do you have any issues with vibrations shaking the output beam out of the chosen plain?

My mother in laws VW golf has side facing light which turn on automatically as you turn into a bend, but that's a bit too ambitious for me, so I will do what you have done to light up the curbs on narrow roads and have them wired into the dipped headlight switch to keep them out of the eyes of oncoming traffic.

I have just got hold of an aicon style front grill surround which will project the front radiator grill forward by a couple of inches, and I hope that I can mount my twin rail lamp slightly higher than yours, but it should fit into the spot where the original bodywork has the Defender logo.

I really appreciate the effort that you went to in answering my questions. Thank you

I want to fit a bar to my 110 as me peeepers get older and i find night driving tougher. Is there any reason why i shouldnt mount the 20"? Like its illegal or wont work i mean.

Presumably i wire it to the main beam or a separate switch.

Thanks and sorry nfor the question

I believe for on road use it should come on with your main beam, that said I had mine on a separate switch but it was a bit of a ball ache switching both of them on and off independently whilst blinding someone coming the other way :D
