I didnt think it was legal to have polycarb/perspex windows in the UK?

There has always been debate over this,Renault did the Megane R26 a few years back with poly windows from the front doors back. Pretty sure some of the big European sports cars have used perspex/polly windows, but never for a front screen.
How it would affect bonded windows I don't know as they are classed as structural, but again Rally cars have to be road legal, don't they have perspex/polly bonded windows??

It's not illegal to have 'plastic' windows but you cannot replace a glass windscreen with it.

I Tried Babelfish. but their Bull****e translator, either isn't working, or just wasn't up to the job??

So red your telling some of these car collecting setups are all honest and above board , and wouldn't tell you your car is worth jack ...
And offer peanuts or nothing so they can get the car for nothing take it to a scrappy and get a minimum of £120 as it is or have root about see a old car for sale knowing full well that taking out a couple of windows and the car is not cost effective for the owner to claim or repair on the chance they will get a phone call in the local sales rag to take it away . Oh yes I forgot how honest people are  like that could never happen

I'm sure it does just as houses get burgled, people get mugged, drugs get sold to school children and husbands murder wives, I'm noit sure why you think that it's pikies that are doing it?????

Do you even know what a pikey is and if you do?? how do they get a landline fone in their caravans???

You have I point but then again if you looked at the ad's they are not landlines are they:rolleyes:

what sort of muppet fones a mobile number in a trade ad?? that just screams dodgy thieving middle class ****er..

Well that for the person phoning the ad to Decipher, the honest scrap yard collectors have proper landlines ect

I to answer your other question I would say the black sheep of a community

Replace the rear window with 3mm aluminium sheet and then either paint it black or stick black vinyl over it. The oiks'll get a bit of a shock the next time they go to break it.

I thought mobile providers can now offer landline numbers but permanently diverted to a mobile. Mobile owner picks up all extra call prices.

There are many travellers settled in houses for many years who still deal in scrap metal, logs, tarmac drives, roofs etc. not sure why we assume they drive white vans 3 up, live in caravans and only use mobile phones.
