I had to look up a Nomad - what an interesting car! It's an Austin/Morris 1100/1300 with a bigger engine?

A combination of an inadequate cooling system, hot brakes, and Aussie climate!

Basically! It had the E series engine instead of the A series that was fitted to the 1100.
