I use to work for a lorry rental company when our artic units came to end of lease after 4 years they was all taken to Hawarden near Chester when I asked the bloke are they scrapped he said no the all go abroad there was lorries and cars all on airfield
he told me he got a v8 p38 for 600 quid from there as the chap wanted to scrap it as it failed the mot it was destined for Africa and he saved it said it was a waste

The Japs do the same with their cars, I don't even think they have an emissions test, I think they have them a number of years then they have to get rid of them, guessing 4-5 years? Then they ship a lot to the UK (right-hand drive) there's a place just down the road from me where they put them in a car park (around 100 of them at a time) and sell them on, they look spotless, and most have lots of extras on them
