Still trying to get 101 ready for re-reg inspection, mate came round Sunday he's a diagnostic auto\tech here but does spanner work as well.
We sorted problem with front brakes with his pressure bleeder.
But misfire and cutting out as fuel starvation and he was right when bought came with new stainless fuel tank not fitted although I cleaned inside as best as I could but we have red clay soil here and the dust I think had coated the inside and baked on in the sun petrol sloshing about trying out brakes in the field had blocked fine gauze in glass settling filter(has different fuel pump and supply from standard)so sorted that got good fuel supply but still got misfire.
Revs fine on RH carb.
LH won't rev at all stutters and dies.
Replaced choke cable a few months ago and removed hand throttle cable when I stripped and cleaned carbs replaced o rings and gaskets.
Now today fitted new clear pipe between carbs but no fuel passing through so got the mod repair manuel out and found out that po had fitted choke cable where hand throttle should be and throttle on choke cam.
Have run out of light to see what difference it will make.
Anyone know if no fuel between Stromberg 175 carbs will make a difference or is something else causing misfire.
I know LH carb supply's 1467
Any thoughts appreciated!
Cheers Rob
