I've got myself a lightweight in a bit of state but nothing that can be sorted with a bit a elbow grease. However i was thinking the other day to maybe take the 2.25 out and replace it with a V8. I've had a look round the forum and there does seem to be an out right answer to weather it is possible to fit one in.

Can anybody shed some light on the situation please?

yep I concur I have a 3.5 v8 lightweight

Cheers for that guys.

Second question whats the best way to go about doing it and what engine? I was thinking about a rover P5 or something like that. Do i need to change transmission as well or will the standard one work?
