Hi
I have just re built a 3.5 SU V8 ready to go in my Series 3. I want to bench test it before fitting but cant figure out the wiring. It has been fitted with a later dizzy with no points, it has two conectors on the side but i cant understand how to wire them and the coil for a bench test. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

on the coil you will need an ignition feed to + obviously. the two connectors on the amplifier attatched to the dizzy are coil + and -. if i remember correctly the one to go to the + is the one closest to the front of the engine. not 100% sure its too late to go and look at one of mine!

Hi

Wired it exactly as you said but still no spark. Dizzy came from a running car and coil is new?

I'm at a loss! Anybody?

have you checked for power getting to the cap? if you search online you might find a procedure for testing everything in a sequence and eliminate as you go.
