I have an intermitted misfire and think separating my leads is the first thing I need to try. Can anyone point me in the direction of an illustration/photo of the ht lead configuration. Not firing order, but how the leads pass over each other and the cam cover.

Firing order is stamped on engine head if you look at it from right front wheel...

make sure the distributor securing bolt is tight. If the dis moves then it will advance or retard firing a bit.

check the contacts in the dizzy head. If one is dirty this could be a problem.

Check the battery has got full volts. Coil's can go bad but theyre cheap.

Check spark plugs are sparking from the centre...you can spark against the engine block but be careful and use pliers! Second thoughts a set of new spark plugs would be a safer idea.

btw if you have the aircon model whats the part number on your alternator belt...struggling to find one.
