Hi All
I'll apologise in advance as chances are I'm the type of poster that annoys the most, I don't really have any mechanical knowledge to speak of and have a problem.
I have a Disco 1 V8 efi that until last week was running fine. Then I started it up on the first turn, got about 100 yards down the road before it started bunny hopping.....
Fortunately it died outside my local friendly mechanics yard where it has been for the last week.
The symptoms are as follows.
You can start it pretty much ok and it will idle fine until it runs out of fuel, but the moment you try to give it throttle it acts as if it's getting starved of fuel.
It seems that if you very slowly add throttle its ok but anything faster then a gentle touch causes it to choke itself.
The mechanic has replaced the coil, plugs (not champ), fuel filter but is now scratching his head. I can't really afford to spend anymore money for him to just guess and randomly replace parts so hoped you gurus might have some ideas.
Thanks in advance for your time.
All the best
