I may have the chance to get a MY 2000 Disco II V8 at just to get it gone for the current owner. I have been told the engine is knackered but that everything else is ok. It has been stood for a year or two but the owner has no plans for it other than to weigh it in eventually.
What I am wondering is how much it would cost to get a 4.0 V8 lump for it and whether or not it would be better and easier to break it instead. The only worry is that in breaking it, the money spinner (engine) is U/S.
Any ideas? IMO it would be great to get it back on the road but I'm not sure it's financially viable.
