Hi im having probelms with my 3.5 V8 (on strongs) i had it started a few days ago but now it wont run at all unless i squert some of that engine start spray down the carbs. ive checked all the Fuel lines and all the fule is getting to the carbs. anyone help me on this ?

Just a quick one i did not have any correct Oil for the dash pots so i used engine oil untill i can get some that should be used. would this cause is not to start?

engine oil is fine i have tried atf and 3 in one oil and they are too thin and give a over responsive throttle and over reving on over run due to lack of dash pot control due to the thin oil.
are you getting fuel through the carbs i would start by turning the fuel screw in then out 3 turns and retry untill it starts on it's own

do you mean turn the fuel screws fully in and then back 3 turns? The plugs are black as well
