Hi,

Is there any difference between the auto V8 engine and the manual V8 engine aside from the obvious - one has a clutch and flywheel, the other a torque convertor and flexplate.

I'm looking to swap the engine in my 3.9RRC but mines an auto and the other came from a manual.

Spigot bearing is fitted in the end of the crank on the manual, other than that, they're all the same except the later 4.0 and 4.6 engines, the crank sensor mounting plate is different from manual to auto

What do I need to do if anything in order to swap? The one I'm putting in is a 4.2 so I'm told (although the engine number is a 3.9 it apparently has been modified to 4.2 +cam+head work having come out of a tube steel spaceframed off roader) and is in way better nick than my 3.9 which I suspect is a bit tired.
