The 2a has a Series 3 dash, probably a Series 3 bulkhead to match, not a problem if you'e not looking for originality.
I did a DVLA check of the military one as it made me curious, the first registration date is 1993, which is fine for a military as that wouldbe when it left military service, and gives the date of manufacture as 1985. I'm still curious, since they stopped building Series motors in 1983!

I would go for the first one, like the idea of a v6, I could not drive the second one not with a number plate that has bro at the end :D and what is with the rear door, overpriced too.

The first one has been seriosly dicked around, got a S3 bulkhead as already stated and a defender screen, S3 doors. That metal LR decal riveted to the dash is rare and non-available, Craddocks are looking for £105 for just the plastic versions. Likewise the first if you're not bothered with originality , looks quite nice with the cavass tilt.
