Anyone know what the idle speed should be on 2001 V6??? UK version but prob same as all others.. Any help appreciated

you cant adjust it anyway.
If it's running baggy, check all yer breather/vacuum hoses, they're brittle and prone to breaking causing air leaks.
aint they prone to oiling up too, Clutchy?

Ello Flop,
You will get some oil in there, I've never heard of them blocking but I spose they could knowing all the gunge that gets into the vis valves.
They normally get snapped by careless techs then badly joined with tape or whatever, seen that loads of times!
I had to change my throttle body due to wear and was told that they tend to get a layer of crud from the oil breather system.
Mite have been a load of tat - but that was wot was sed.

Cheers all....running fine but idle seems to be around 6-700 when warm and oil warning light flickers when hot (only at idle)....recent full service with proper oil etc and all levels checked, only thing that I think could have affected it is had massive build up of mud around oil cooler and pipes have cleared the crap but still have light flicker occasionally.
Diddnt want to turn idle up just to hide what could be bigger problem but seems most replys say idle should be around 800 so will tweak it and see.
