Hello all,

Hope that this helps somebody..

I'm still working on my V6 (mot fail... long, long stories..)

Nearly finished... but today I found a fractured breather pipe.
I need one quickly, so I've "bitten the bullet" and ordered a genuine one.

Anyway, i had a bit of trouble identifying which pipe was which... just from "vague" descriptions in online catalogues.

Please see the attachment..

That's interesting - which model uses the green pipe, and what does the right-hand end plug in to?

I'm guessing it uses a different throttle body than mine.

Ummm... the green one is actually the one I ordered for my 2001 V6.
I spent 2 hours on the phone today to several dealers who all swore blind that this is the correct one for mine... we'll see when it arrives!

Bl**dy typical if it is actually wrong.... my catalytic converter woes all over again..

Well, mine uses the blue one, also a 2001 V6.
In fact I only just replaced it!
Hope you get what you need.

The green pipe in the diagram is for the US E throttle body.
The blue is the UK/EU cable throttle body.

Hello all,

Interesting... I was told by 3 dealers that the blue one was for the US model...

However... I bet that both bukko and Nodge68 are correct.

I'm not a happy bunny at the moment.

I'll update when the (wrong) part arrives!

Thanks for the info.

Bodge99.

Hello,

Update on this flippin' pipe. The new one arrived today. It was the wrong one...

I'll need to clarify here a little.. They sent the one I actually needed... not the one I ordered..

Just to confirm.. The blue pipe is the correct one.

So I'm a happy bunny again!

The blue pipe is all i'v ever seen fitted to a UK KV6. It's on Land Rover, Rover and MGs ;)

Hello,

Nodge68:
I just **knew** that you would be correct as soon as you said it..
You would think a someone selling spares for a specific brand would know what they were selling...

And I thought Citroen, Renault and Vauxhall were bad..

Many thanks for all of your help.

The camshaft to intake manifold is the green pipe. I had to replace this one also spend 75 bucks at the LR dealership tere on eBay for 30 dollars don't really need no genuine part if you ask me there all the same for pipes unless your buying engine parts then I go genuine save some bucks for gas an go off roading :)
