Possibly not as embarassing as your passengers not being aware your driving on LPG instead of thinking you just had a dodgy curry/kebab etc,.LPG smell lingers for AGES not pleasant at all.I find supermarket/forecourt style filling guns a touch more difficult to use than the other straight on handle back, twist type.

Hello, Getting around 250miles per tank of petrol in my V6 2.5 and thats taking it easy. Should I be getting more?

sounds good to me, i only get that out of my 1.8 doing mostly short journeys(which works out about 22mpg) but can squeeze 300 out of a tank on a long run.

:).Hi,just back from a holiday in northern Scotland, filled LPG tank with 64 litres at 42.9p per litre, switched back to petrol after 275 miles.Cost £28 and works out about 19mpg,equivalent petrol consumption would be around 38mpg.Found this handy thing here:MPG calculator UK miles per Gallon - calculate MPG.Quite useful and very interesting tool.

Sounds lovely...but a conversion is going to cost in the region of 2K...I would do it regardless of the dangers! So long as my warranty still covered HGF following conv.

:).Conversion prices do tend to be steep, its best very carefully considered if you will do the mileage to recoup the cost.I have done 8000miles since I got mine in February this year so would probably cover the cost in 12-18months max.Mine was done by a previous owner in August 2005 to the tune of nearly £2600!,not quite a standard install as the installer fitted a larger LPG tank due to the thirst of the KV6.£25 a week for LPG seems not bad when the alternative is £60+ for petrol,,using Super Unleaded as I dont use that much roughly a tankful every 3 months.:D.

I use super unleaded, the KV6 loves it..the fuel economy is not noticably different, in return the engine runs smoother and goes like a rocket.
