impressive as the rev counter looks as though it’s in zero, lol
maybe their not scared but really sitting on a vibrating seat
will get my coat
I can't make out the revs but the surrounding features show they're on the move. Not sure hands would be on wheel if it was a vibrating seat.
At 82 you are unlikely to be punished. Maybe a speed awareness cours. Probbably real speed of 75-76mph.
I speak from experience, 82 is points and fine**.
75-76 is still breaking the speed limit
I know people, who have been driving since the 80s, or before, like to think they have the old get out clause of 110% + a bit, ( I even used to allow 10% lee way myself, back in the day , when tugging someone but that stopped a long time ago
)but if you have a modern vehicle, with the correct tyre /wheels for the vehicle,the discrepancy is likely to be minimal. For example the Golden Girl is now 16yrs old, so one would expect the discrepancy to be slightly more than an even more advanced new model. However, the moment I have 1 mile an hour over the speed limit , showing on my speedo ( calm down
@tomcat59alan no budgie smugglers here
)my SatNav starts to tell me off.. So I reckon the calibration is pretty good.
Awaits those with more technical knowledge of today's speedo calibrations , explaining it better.
** No excuse , except stupidity. The first time I took her on the motorway, I put the boot down to overtake a lorry. Much to my surprise, she took off like a scalded cat and the timings just fell into place. I realised the speed, lifted foot and at same time realised there was a van on the overhead bridge. Clicky click and one ticket later, points and a fine. I never underestimated her again.
