I'm not trying to sell anything, but I have a chance to buy a set of bfg mud terrains. 265/75/16 it's a set of five, covered 4000 miles and spare hasn't been on the road. What should I expect to pay?

I paid £100 each for some BFG All Terrains that had been used briefly but were nearly new. Still had the moulding hairs on them. I've now put around 40,000 miles on them and there's still a fair bit of tread left. Hope that gives you some idea . . .

Oh, and that included fitting.

How much tread is left on them never mind how many miles they've done, I've recently purchased three of them for 40-55 quid each, 8mm-12mm between them

I paid 55 quid for one with 12mm off Ebay the a tenner to have it fitted but you can pay some serious wedge when there's four of them

Also I'm sorry bud but there's no way they've only done 4000 miles if there's only 10mm left on them, I'll measure mine later and I reckon that they've done at least 10k and there's way more than 10mm on them

10mm. your being had....

I got a brand new set about 2 weeks ago.... they have more like 25mm on when new... if mines only have 10mm left when they get to 4k miles BFG will have some explaining to do.

10mm plus, no cuts rips or tears. no puncture repairs either

Half or less of new price. remember you have to leave 3-4 mm on tyre . so if tyre has 10 mm of tread, you can only use 7 mm of the tyre, which is less than half of new tread depth
