Hi all,

I have 4 large architects type plan chests to sell, made out of metal and lockable. Would it be worth trying to sell these as tool storage chests for spanners, screwdrivers etc as an alternative to the SnapOn? Does anyone use similar chests for this sort of thing? Or are they no use for this for some reason?

I've tried to attach some pictures, hope it works!

cheers,
Joe

They don't look very deep and if you filled the drawer with tools They'd probably topple when you opened it.

the chest itself isn't as light as you might imagine, not sure if these are fireproof or not but they're bloomin heavy even without any drawers in!

We have them at work, the drawers would be ideal for spanners , sockets etc but as they are designed for paper maps/plans I doubt they would last long with the sort of weight that tools would impart. we keep up to 100 maps in a drawer and that is about the limit on our's.

Drawers are huge and I think when out the strain on the runners would be too much

Cheers Steve
